Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What caused my carpet to wrinkle?
A. The most common cause of carpet wrinkles is due to improper installation. Most carpet manufactures require that carpet is to be stretched 1% to 1.5% in length as well as width. This can only be achieved by using a powerstretcher. Improper carpet cushion, and dwellings that are not climate controlled, sometimes play a role as well.
Q. I do not have extra carpet. Can you still patch or repair?
A. Yes, usually the solution to this problem is to take carpet from a closet or another inconspicuous area to perform your patch or repair. We then replace the removed piece with another carpet (which we can provide) of similar color and texture.
Q. Do you move furniture?
A. Yes, our cleaning price includes moving chairs, tables, small sofas, and other small furnishings. However, beds, entertainment centers, dressers, and other large items are left in place due to lack of storage area during the drying process. During our stretch and repair services, we will move all necessary furniture regardless of size. We kindly request that customers remove all small or breakable items from furnishings that may be moved.
Q.What method of carpet cleaning does your company use?
A. Carpet CPR uses the hot water extraction method. In this method of cleaning, a hot water cleaning solution is sprayed at high pressure onto the carpet and simultaneously extracted out of the carpet. This method is also commonly referred to as "steam cleaning." Our company uses only high powered truck mounted units. These machines are the most powerful carpet cleaning machines on the market and the only ones that will thoroughly rid your carpet of dirt, fungus, chemicals, harmful bacteria and allergens.

Q. What are the benefits of applying teflon protector?
A. Regular foot traffic removes much of the manufacturers protection from your carpet. Leaving your carpet unprotected could result in a lower level of appearance, permanent stains, and premature wear. Carpet manufactures recommend re-applying protector after cleaning. Your carpet will not perform or look as good without carpet protector! Protecting your carpet will also enable your carpet to clean more effectively the next time you have your carpets or area rugs cleaned.
Q. When can I walk on the carpet?
A. In most circumstances light foot traffic is acceptable within 1 to 2 hours. However, it is possible that your carpet may take as long as 4 to 6 hours to completely dry. Longer drying times (such as the 4-6 hour range) are usually a result of poor climate and/or air movement.
Q.How many appointments do your services require?
A. Usually, only one appointment is necessary. When Carpet CPR arrives to present you with your free in home estimate, we allow enough time to perform the services you require as well. However, this is optional, as we understand that some of our customers need an estimate appointment and a service appointment for various reasons.
